Theory and Practical Tests
The candidate must obtain a pass in the theory and hazard perception test before being able to attend for their practical test.

Theory Test
This part consists of 50 multiple choice questions in which the candidate must obtain 43 correct answers to pass.

Hazard Perception
This part consists of 14 video clips. Each clip contains one main hazard which must be identified with one of the clips containing two hazards. Each hazard carries a maximum score of 5 points. Overall the candidate must obtain 44 out of 75 to pass.

Practical Test
The practical part of your driving test will be conducted at your local driving test centre. You will be examined in all aspects of your driving by a D.S.A. examiner. The candidate will be required to carry out two manoeuvres and may also be asked to do a controlled stop. To pass this test, the candidate must not commit more than 15 driver errors and no serious or dangerous faults.

IMPORTANT
Driver Training And Development Specialists cannot guarantee that the pupil will be ready for the driving test at the end of any course. This is largely due to the individuals progress and motivation. If this is the case the candidate will be offered additional training to bring them up to the required standard to sit a practical driving test.
