I passed my test on 23/08/10 with eco-driving after just over 6 months of 2hr sessions per week. I found my instructor very professional and supportive at all times, as well as patient and understanding. Having had a bad experience with a previous instructor, not turning up, constantly texting during lessons etc. I would confidently say that it has been the positive change of instructor that has given me the skills and confidence to pass! After failing my test twice and then driving in a foreign country for three years I began lessons with Dave, 3 years of bad habits and a deadline to make as I was flying out of the country and really needed my license... Dave was always straight with me giving me encouragement where it was due and pointing out where my skills were lacking then helping me to bring them up to par. 24.02.2011 today is a very special day for me I have passed my driving test and I would like to thank Dave Tinsley @ Eco-Driving for all the help he has given me. I have passed my driving in less than 20 Lessons. Dave is a very caring person & well spoken gentlemen and who make you comfortable and less nervous. He really focuses on your driving and also the areas you are struggling and he helps you solve the problem easily. I would definitely recommend Eco-Driving to my family and friends. Driving Instruction was excellent. Always had time to suit. Plenty of patience and clear on every instruction. 6 Hour lessons seemed to fly in. Have no complaints 5 Star Driving Instructor :D

I really enjoyed my lessons with Dave, they were fun and easy to understand. ?I had a good rapport with Dave as he is easy to get along and I was very comfortable with him. He made sure that my lessons where able to fit with work and personal commitments, this was very important to me when I was looking for an instructor. Dave?concentrated?the lessons on the areas where I was weakest and went out of his way to help me with all practical parts of driving. I am still on cloud 9 after passing my test. ? Hiya. Dave Tinsley explained learning to drive in simple terms, most lessons were easy-going and many were even fun!
He made sure I'd ironed out all the kinks in my driving before recommending I sat the practical, as a result I passed first time which both instructor and pupil were very happy about!
Driving down to Blackpool on Monday . . . yay!

Hi everyone, I found learning to drive with eco-driving a terrific experience. My instructor was extremely friendly and efficient. The feedback I recieved after lessons was extremely positive and confidence boosting. This feedback and honesty resulted in me passing my driving test first time. Which I was really thrilled about, as I was sick of getting the bus and arriving everywhere 3 days late! I would recommend anyone who is wanting to learn to drive efficiently, to go with eco-driving!

David Tinsley is a fine instructor who is very patient but firm in teaching how to drive a car correctly and safely. He gave me a wealth of knowledge on good road sense and this prepared me extremely well for the practical driving test and well beyond. His sound advice is still with me as I navigate my way along urban and country routes and of course roundabouts.

Just passed my test with eco-driving!! would reccommend it to anyone! Lessons were very relaxed as i was quite aprehensive about driving. Dave was very patient and lessons were even funny! He made sure that all aspects of driving were absolutely perfect before sitting the practical, which was very beneficial! Can't beleive i can drive about on my own now!

I've just passed my driving test. My instructor was Dave Tynsley who was a capital man. I'd wholeheartedly praise him for all his patience and perseverance especially when my mind and brain weren't totally focussed on driving. I had my doubts when I started but with his constant encouragement made me determined to carry on. Thanks also for your good humour Dave. I was worried my instructor would be a right greetin' face but fortunately that never happened. I'd recommend Eco Driving to anyone.

Dave is a great instructor who is very patient and lets you learn at your own pace. I've recommended him to all my friends cos if he can teach me to drive then he manage it with anyone! To anyone out there considering taking up driving lessons I have one bit of advice for you - go with Eco-driving. Dave was my instructor and his patience, positivity, humour and unshakeable belief in my driving ability resulted in extremely enjoyable lessons and a FIRST TIME PASS on my practical driving test!!! I never thought I would be able to drive, even as I undertook my first few lessons I could never envisage actually sitting a test never mind passing one! However Dave was always on hand with constructive advice which was always backed up with confidence boosting comments, he was also unflappable - no matter what happened!!!

I am the parent of a 16 year old disabled son who has just passed his driving test (first time) with the help, support and encouragement of Dave.
Dave had no qualms about taking on the challenge of teaching a very young person who had six months previously sustained a life changing sports injury.
Dave was always positive and patient and never doubted Connor’s ability.
Connor is now a confident, considerate and careful young driver all thanks to Dave.

Here is my quote that you can use, thanks again for everything and as soon as my 3 day break is confirmed will text you about pass plus at some point next week.

Felt comfortable since lesson 1 and learned at a pace that suited me. Given the tuition to gain confidence in my driving and work on all my skills and prepared me for successfully passing my test. Very pleased with the way is was taught from lesson 1 all the way up till passing my test. I would recommend to anyone.

Dave made learning to drive easy and fun! he's a fantastic instructor who knows his stuff and makes every lesson enjoyable. Thanks to dave i passed first time, couldn't of done it with out his support and encouragement. Learning was simple and easy. His tips and reference points are spot on. If you follow them you really cant go wrong and will be guaranteed to pass. I'll miss dave and the banter we had. All the best to everyone out there wanting to learn. I feel terrible for this having taken forever and a day to get to you, but I've been completely and utterly swamped with uni and work and everything else. Hope this is worth the wait!

My experience in learning to drive was something that I was dreading. But thankfully, due a patient, calm and friendly teaching style, it was anything but a chore to learn. I was never put under pressure to felt stressed to perform a certain way, just to do the best with what I was taught and it paid off (Albeit on the second time!). I wasn't just building my road sense and general driving skills, but I was also able to slowly build up the confidence I needed behind the wheel to become a good driver. Dave Tinsley insured that my learning experience was a happy and successful one, and I would recommend him to anyone who is interested in starting to learn.

Hi to all thinking of taking driving lessons.
I would thoroughly recommend. ecodriving and Dave Tinsley to guide you through the driving. I had only been driving for 5 weeks when I sat my test and PASSED FIRST TIME. Dave went through the skills required to drive safely at a pace suitable to myself. The lessons were all very enjoyable and progressive to continually develop my skills. He explained everything very clearly which made learning all the easier. Dave continually provided productive feedback and encouragement.

Sorry for getting to you this late. You know me and modern technology....don't mix. Anyway just wanted to say a big thank you for all your help. You a such a great instructor.After my dissapointment with my previous instructor, you were patient and firm when you needed to be . Your lessons are made simple that a new and even an old driver with bad habits can enjoy the lesson without feeling intimidated. I know I'm not a fast learner but we passed in just a few months. I couldn't have passed today without you. I would recommend you to anyone planning on learning to drive.I will definately be contacting you next year for my niece's lessons.
